I am excited to try the improved formula of Sparq. It is definitely better than the old - better texture and improved flavor but still effective. Let's face it, you are not drinking this to enjoy the flavor. When I take Sparq before a workout, I feel better during the workout - I'm stronger and I fatigue less. The first time I took it, I scored two QOMs and didn't even realize it, as I didn't feel like I was working all that hard.
The best way to prep this is to refrigerate the package and use water that is as cold as possible (do not use ice, though). Do not use a lot of water - think of it like a shot - 4-6 oz at the most. Mix it well to get everything dissolved. Before you drink, take a good inward breath and exhale through your nose as you down it. Have something flavored as a chaser - I like a little iced tea. Before you breathe in, have your chaser ready to drink.
I have never gotten an upset stomach from this, but I take it 30-45 minutes before I work out. Another great product I can heartily recommend.
