Whether you're interested in a better pre workout, more energy, and/or elevated muscle recovery, amino acids have your back. Let's take an in-depth look at some real-world examples and my doctor-approved insights to learn how you can benefit from amino acids. Plus see how amino acid dosing can be best utilized and adapted in any type of situation, by any type of athlete.
Who Needs Amino Acids?
We essentially eat protein for the amino acids (EAAs & BCAAs) that are essential for both life and optimal health and performance. But, it's unfortunately difficult to meet the minimum healthy recommended protein intake per day (.8g-1g per kg. of body weight) though dietary sources alone.
So, if you weigh 80kg, then you’ll need to eat a maximum of 160 grams of protein per day. This is like having to eat an 8oz steak for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert on top of what you usually eat with your protein.
PLUS, if you exercise and/or are injured, it's much harder to get sufficient dietary amino acids intake because your body will require even more to recover, perform, and rebuild.
NOTE: High stress, strenuous activities, and physical exertion increase your body's need for amino acids.
The Doctor Is In
Here is how I suggest you dose with amino acids in different situations:
General use: Take two scoops of FUNDAMINOS™ everyday. We designed FUNDAMINOS™ to help you pre-fuel, perform, and recover with a quickly absorbed amino acid blend to supplement your usual protein intake.
Pre workout: Combine one to two scoops of FUNDAMINOS™ with SPARQ™ 30-45 mins before working out for more energy, or take a double dose. If you'd like, you can also combine amino acids with creatine.
Recovery & muscle Maintenance: Take two scoops twice daily and drink preferably before, during, and after exercise.
Competitive & strength athletes: Take two scoops of FUNDAMINOS™ twice daily. For best results, take amino acids during competition and make sure to keep dosing elevated three days before and after an event.
Endurance athletes: Take two scoops of FUNDAMINOS™ twice daily. For best results, take amino acids during the event and make sure to keep dosing elevated before the event. After the event, take it for a week with double the dosing.
Surgery: Take FUNDAMINOS™ 2 weeks before surgery with double dosing and then 4 weeks after surgery with double dosing. The body may require 50% more protein than normal during very stressful life events, even if you're just sitting on the couch.
Ultra-endurance athletes: These athletes should do TRIPLE the dosing during an event. They need to fuel their body non-stop with aminos acids.
BONUS: Dose in the morning for extra energy and focus, when traveling as a quick hunger suppressant, and/or at 30mins before bed to improve sleep.
Interesting Amino Facts
Amino acids are required for important physiological functions, like hormone regulation, cognitive performance and protein synthesis. There are 20 total amino acids, nine are essential; but, histidine is ONLY essential for (literally) babies.
Did you know? The body takes EAA's from your diet/supplements to make the other amino acids you see in the picture above, all on it's own.
EAAs are great for supplementing your health and performance because they make up such a large percentage of your body composition and muscle mass.
Just so you know, FUNDAMINOS™ is vegan, highly bioavailable, and contains an advanced, uncompromising blend of both EAAs & BCAAs to help you achieve elevated strength and recovery. It's also clean, clinically proven, and tastes actually pretty good.
What the EAAs Do
Leucine: protein synthesis
Lysine: hormone health
Methionine: metabolic health and function
Phenylalanine: nervous system health and function
Threonine: immune function
Tryptophan: sleep, hunger and mood
Isoleucine: recovery and energy
Valine: protects, rebuilds muscles
Histidine: new born baby development and protection
Case Study #1
Let's see how Stan recovered quickly from his hernia surgery with FUNDAMINOS™.
"Now, 9 days post surgery, I am able to slowly continue my Antarctica Marathon training (scheduled for March 2022). Not a full on RUN just yet, but at least jogging. I would due 3 to 4 scoops of FUNDAMINOS for a few days before [surgery] and then 10 days afterwards. You can cut down over a week then to 2 scoops. Using your FUNDIMINOS product, pre and post surgery, I believe, was instrumental to my swift recovery! Love the FUNDAMINOS!!! Thank you, so much Dr. C!"
It's why we're here, you're welcome!
Case Study #2
Let's see how FUNDAMINOS™ has improved L.C.'s training for the past 5 years.
"I have used FUNDAMINOS™ for several years, cycling [dosing] depending upon where I am in my competitive season and training. I can definitely say that I have less soreness and can handle more intense training loads and race schedules when I am taking this regularly. Taste is much milder than most super-artificially-flavored amino acid powders, and it does not upset my stomach at all. Works significantly better than the 13 other amino acid products I have used over the past 5 years. It is important to take it on an empty stomach."
Thanks for the loyalty and support, L.C.!

Let's see how Jake just crushed an ultra-distance running competition with the help of FUNDAMINOS™.
"The Spirit of Syllamo 105 mile trail run was a success. Training went well in the build-up and the run itself took 28:47 with 33,000' of elevation change. I used your suggestion for the FUNDAMINOS™ and mixed one scoop with Skratch Hydration and consumed every 6hrs. I feel like it delayed fatigue; limiting tissue breakdown and keeping leucine available. I did not have any GI issues. Also took two scoops right after I finished."
Awesome, Jake! Check out some of his pics from the race:
Amino acid supplementation ensures your body has the nutrient balance it needs to do what you ask of it. But, not all brands selling aminos understand the balance part of this equation when they're flashing high levels of just 1 or 2 aminos. That's a big no-no.
We created the nutrient balanced FUNDAMINOS™ to help you achieve consistent and lasting: energy, strength, endurance, focus, power, recovery, muscle mass, fat loss, and vigor.
