What Burns More Calories than Exercise? 5 Ways How to Burn the Most Calories without Moving!
Burning calories by doing nothing may sound easy or interesting. Below are facts, and are not suggestions, we do not recommended putting yourself in any danger.
1. Shivering Your A$$ off
Shivering is the best way to burn calories by doing nothing. This burns a super ton amount of calories as you body tries to survive by not dying...or in a more detailed way, by heating itself up involuntarily making short, quick movements. A study found that shivering for 10 to 15 minutes burns as many calories as an hour of moderate exercise! But we do not recommended this because its much more comfortable and safer to just take a cold bath or eat a healthier lower sugar diet first if you want to lose some weight.
2. Hypoxic Training
To just take it down a bit of a level, this one involves reducing oxygen in the air by a special device with a mask that makes you breathe at super high elevations equivalent of oxygen, like over 22,000 feet. Doing this brings your blood oxygen levels down (possibly dangerously low if done for extended periods of time) since you are not adapted to the elevation; very much like so if you were climbing Mount Everest. If done correctly, hypoxic training can also make you fitter and healthier and wins you more races/competitions because you get really "oxygen" fit and makes exercise super easy at lower elevations. Being low on oxygen really stresses the brain as well which already takes 20% daily calorie needs plus you continue to burn calories after the hypoxic training to do something called EPOC.
A general rule of thumb is to consume an additional 100-200 calories per day for every 1,000 meters of elevation gain because it burns that much more without you doing anything. However, this can vary depending on individual factors such as activity level and personal metabolism. It's always a good idea to consult with a medical professional or a registered dietitian for personalized advice. Living at very high elevation may possibly be the most lazy, most effective way to lose weight without picking up a finger.
3. Sauna
Some doctors say that you can lose up to 600 calories in a half-hour of sauna, but there's no evidence to back up these claims. More like it is that you raise the base metabolic rate in your body by about 2x so you are burning 2x more calories in the heat than by sitting than normal temperature. Sauna, also like a cold bath, can activate brown fat which also helps to burn more calories.

4. Anything that Increases Adrenaline and Dopamine
There are certain breathing exercises that can increase your adrenaline and dopamine in your body which burns calories and causes you to be less hungry later. Video games, watching sports, scary movies, stressful math equations, learning languages, and the likes can also help you burn more calories by just sitting down.
5. Eat More Protein
Simply put, protein takes more calories and energy for your body to digest. Protein promotes muscle, of which muscle helps burn body fat and calories at rest. Protein also promotes fat loss and boosts metabolism. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. While it may seem that not eating anything is a good way to "burn calories" because you are not consuming any calories, doing so excessively outside any approved intermittent fasting states starves your body of nutrients and is just not healthy or a good idea to do to try to burn more calories.
