What is Dirty Electricity?
Dirty electricity, or "electrical pollution," is a prevalent health issue in urban areas. It is invisible and difficult to detect, causing various symptoms like headaches and difficulty focusing, known as electrohypersensitivity or EHS. Understanding its causes and effects is crucial. Electrical energy flows into our devices, converting into heat, light, sound, motion, pressure, radiation, or a mix of these. Any remaining electricity returns to the breaker panel through the neutral line.
On a standard electrical plug, you may notice one blade is smaller than the other. The small blade provides power to the device, while the larger blade completes the circuit. The third prong is the ground, which reduces the risk of electric shock. Starting from 2017, neutral should not be connected to grounded enclosures according to the National Electrical Code.
When you turn on a vacuum cleaner, it can cause interference with other electronic devices. For example, your TV may show a line or your stereo speakers may make a popping sound. This happens because the electrical current from the vacuum flows through the wires in the wall to the outlet, then to the vacuum motor, and finally back out through the common line that is shared by the TV and stereo. This "dirty electricity" from the vacuum motor affects the TV and stereo through the common line. What Is EMF?

How Dirty Electricity Gets To You
Understanding electricity is important. It's surprising how often people misunderstand basic principles, even those who claim to know. Let's start with the basics: electricity is the flow of electrons. When electrons flow through a wire, object, or device, we call it an electrical circuit. Voltage is the push that makes electrons flow, similar to how water pressure makes water flow through pipes in your home. A D-cell battery has a voltage of 1.5 volts, while a typical US house power outlet has a voltage of 120 volts AC. Current measures the number of electrons passing through a circuit in a period of time. Current only flows when there is voltage pushing it, much like water pressure causing a certain number of gallons per minute to flow. This current is measured in amperes (amps). Electricity can be either AC (alternating current) or DC (direct current). DC means the voltage is constant, like a battery. AC means the voltage is constantly changing, both in amplitude and direction-of-flow (polarity).
What is the connection between dirty electricity and your building's wiring? Dirty electricity is an alternating current (AC) voltage that flows through the wiring in your home. It has a higher frequency than the standard power line frequency of 50Hz or 60Hz. In fact, dirty electricity can range from a few thousand Hz to millions of Hz.

The radio frequency spectrum was given a formal naming structure by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) in the 1800s. The language that designates each band in the spectrum is very specific and should be used carefully. The RF spectrum is as follows:
