Influencers are taking over the world.
They come with all different shapes, sizes, motives, ethics, and beliefs.
They are podcasters, YouTubers, TV hosts, social media profiles, writers, athletes, and more.
They are also a waste of your time!
Because you don't need influencers to tell you what to do or buy for a good life, fit and healthy body, or true happiness.
Because everything you need (and need to know) has already been around for thousands of years.
What about health and fitness influencers?
While they may keep you up to date on all the latest trends, products, and news in this very interesting and highly progressive "category", the same message above still holds true.
When it comes to achieving optimal health and fitness, everything rests on having a great foundation. So, to be the best version of yourself, you should (above all else) "like, comment, and follow" the most fundamental, verified health and fitness tips of the past.
For example, over 2,000 years ago, the Greeks documented the importance of sun exposure (vitamin D), eating fresh, whole foods, drinking clean water, staying active and challenging your body and mind, using medicine balls (they coined the term) for strength, connecting with loved ones, and lowering stress and sedentary activity.
How about the thousand-year-old wisdom of yoga, traditional Chinese medicine, and Indigenous Americans?
Or the dietary habits of Mediterranean cultures, the thermogenesis "bio-hacks" of Northern Europeans, or the seasonal food sowing and foraging habits of Eastern Europeans?
Gazing up at the stars by a fire after a great meal with friends on a cool night, anyone?
There's thousands of years of wisdom already out there to master that will benefit you for well over a lifetime!
Best of all? This wisdom is FREE and EASY to implement.
Don't be persuaded by fancy tech, celebrity guests, smooth voices, trendy supplements, and/or social proof because, at the end of the day, there is nothing more important than living simple and naturally for a happy, healthy, and fit life.
This is not to say that modern inventions are "evil" or counterproductive, on the contrary. It's just that only you can unlock your peak potential for health and fitness--and a great life.
So what now?
It's one thing to follow an influencer for educational purposes, fun and/or new ideas, great! But, it's another thing throw money at every suggestion they make.
The influencer is not smarter, more in-the-know, or more special than you.
PRO TIP: Remember that it's the pop influencer's job (they are paid) to create content that grabs your attention, entertains you, and builds your trust with the end goal of one thing--profit.
We don't "hate" influencers, we just want you to ask yourself if what is being "sold" (sometimes it's their persona or brand, sometimes it's a product or service) is BEST for YOU.
