Toxins are Much More of Long-Term Health Risk than the CoronaVirus
While we are all concerned about the risk to our health from the coronavirus, please know that if you are “healthy” and under 65 years old, your risk of serious illness is not much more than any other cold or flu.
So why the fuss?
It is our human nature. We overlook the long-term certain risks and focus on the short-term potential ones, no matter how small. So while the world goes into shut down due to fear and potential risk of coronavirus, we overlook and avoid the dangers that are certain that will affect us all, such as climate change and toxic pollution.
Did you know that ten thousand people a day die from the consequences of air pollution every day caused by fossil fuels? But as awful as this is many places such as Mexico City, Cairo, Northern Italy, cities in China and India, San Bernadino and Bakersfield, CA and more continue on with their day to day life and don’t even think about it.
Or for example, the World Health Organization recently came out with a report revealing just how much plastic is in our drinking water.1 Ironically, in it they tell you not to worry — because drinking these plastic microparticles won’t hurt the human body. This is mind-boggling and just plain wrong. These microplastics are full of “alien” estrogens that lead to a wide array of diseases and disorders, including:
Type 2 diabetes
High blood pressure and heart disease
Brain fog and memory loss
Loss of sex drive
Cancer
Weight gain
But it gets worse...A few years ago the FDA tried to give the appearance of protecting consumers when they banned the use of the most well-known alien estrogen — bisphenol A, also called BPA — in baby bottles and sippy cups. But they refused to call for an overall ban. And because BPA is cheaper than alternatives, many manufacturers continue to use it in everything from eyewear, cosmetics and DVDs to food containers and cash register receipts.
And while a few major manufacturers bowed down to public pressure and started advertising BPA-free bottles, cans and packaging, many just took a bad problem and made it worse by substituting other bisphenols for BPA. This alphabet soup of new alien estrogens includes BPAP, BPF, BPS, BPP and BPM. They act just like BPA except they stay in your body longer and can cause even more DNA damage.2,3
These chemicals are now in the water we drink. They’re almost impossible to avoid. In fact, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found bisphenols in the urine of 93% of people they tested.4

Fortunately, there are natural ways to systematically eliminate these toxins and xenoestrogens from your body. In a future blog post, I will share proven detoxification protocols that can protect and eliminate these and other toxins and heavy metals from your body.
One of the foundational tools that I use at least every other day is an infrared sauna. Sweating is your body’s natural way to detoxify itself. It opens pores so you can flush out impurities more efficiently.
Here’s why infrared is even better.
Infrared light penetrates several inches into your tissue. This deep penetration releases debris from the fat underneath your skin. It also allows your body to free toxins stored in other organs and tissues.
Infrared saunas are more efficient at detoxing than traditional steam saunas. In one study, sweat from a traditional sauna was up to 97% water. But sweat released in an infrared sauna was only 80% water. The remaining 20% was made up of fat-soluble toxins like alien estrogens.5
For us, the biggest benefit is how good you feel after 30 to 45 minutes of sweating followed by a shower using alternating cold and hot water.
Here are the many other benefits from sauna.
These include:
Stress and fatigue
Muscle aches, arthritis, and joint relief
Weight loss and calorie burning
Increased metabolism
Immune system support
Skin conditions
Heart health
Appearance of cellulite
Diabetes support
Longevity
